Funereum - Re-Velatio Demo (1996)

Az első dal a Great Silver Eye érdekesen kezdődik. A ritmust a gitárok széttörik/megtörik. Itt jelenik meg először a szinti hangjai is. A kaotikusnak tűnő, formáját bontott death/doom azonban a nyugodtabb dallamoknak adja át a helyet. A második tétel a Re-Velatio. A demó címadó instrumentális szerzeménye. A következő Moonless Night-ban is felfedezhetők még a hirtelen váltások, de itt is ugyanaz a helyzet, mint az első dalnál. A rövid akusztikus darab a Black Silence után az Of an Endless Farewell folytatja. Majd a Time Will Cure Me következik, itt ismét az akusztikus gitár kap egy kis főszerepet a női vokállal együtt. Mellettük szolidan megszólal a hegedű is. Az utolsó dal a Dreaming of Eternal Sadness. Halkan kezdődik el, majd teljes erejében hozza el a nyugtatólag ható death/doom harmóniáját. Ez a nyugodtabb kezdés némileg felgyorsul a folytatásban, de itt sem az őrült száguldás a jellemző. Egy tökéletes zárása a demónak ez a dal.

Az olasz csapat 1996-os demója kifejezetten jóra sikerült. Változatos anyag lett. Sokszor fogom még hallgatni az már biztos.
