Harloch - Damnatio ad bestias (2012)

Végre sikerült meghallgatnom a Magyar Harloch első albumát. Megmondom őszintén nagyon meglepődtem. Jó lemezt vártam tőlük, de ők többet hoztak, mint amire számítottam. Gyilkos anyagot raktak össze.

Khainor (vokál) egy nagy adag dühvel adagolja a szavakat. A két gitáros Akhsesef és Axelior feszesen és sebességgel pengeti a fekete fém dallamait. Damien (basszusgitár) és Windar (dobok) pedig egy igazán erős ritmus szekcióhoz illően teszi a dolgát. Változatosan és erősen. Azt a hátteret biztosítva ami egy zenekarban kötelező különben nem is működne jól a gépezet. És a Harloch néven ismert gépezet most egy nagyon is összeszokott és erős felállást mutat ami joggal tarthat igényt a szélesebb körű elismerésre, mert rászolgáltak. Minden ízében átgondolt dalokkal és gyilkos hangzással találkoztam.

A lemez dalai ismét Schmiedl Tamás (Moby Dick, Bloody Roots) vezényletével készültek,mint az Árnyjáték Ep anyaga is.De most sokkal durvább lett a kész album amit csak ajánlani tudok mindenkinek aki szereti a black metalt.

Hungarian Harloch finally got to hear the first album. To be honest I was surprised. I waited a good disc of them, but they were more than I expected. Killer material put together.

Khainor (vocals), a great deal of anger feeds on words. The two guitarists  Akhsesef and Axelior speed and strikes the tight black metal tunes. Damien (bass) and Windar (drums) is a really strong pace to section does its job properly. And highly varied. It is the backdrop for a band that is not otherwise required would work well with the machine. And the machine is now known as Harloch a very accustomed and strong line-up shows that the right can claim the wider recognition because they deserved. Every bit thoughtful songs and killer sound across.

The album's songs again, Schmiedl Tamás (Moby Dick, Bloody Roots) were made with conductor as the material was also Árnyjáték Ep.But now I have a much rougher the finished album, which I can only recommend to everyone who likes black metal.

Depresszív black metal Franciaországból. Az egy emberes zenekarra, azaz Malphas munkájára ezzel a lemezzel figyeltem fel.
Ezidáig valahogy nem került a látókörömbe amit kifejezetten sajnálok, mivel kapásból meggyőzött munkájának eredménye. Ugyanis itt a Depresszív black metal-t a Neoclassical Ambient díszes elemei teszik még szebbé,fájdalmasabbá.

Towards Darkness - Barren (2012)

Funeral doom Kanadából, a Montreal-i Québecből. A csapat idén jelentette meg második lemezét.

Az első dal a " The Arrival"  még csak bevezet minket a "Barren" címmel ellátott lemez zenei világába szikár hangjaival.
Míg a második dal  az "Avenues Of Manipulation" már a funeral doom  teljes pompájában ragyog. Gyönyörű, billentyűs hangszeren történő bevezetéssel, ami újra és újra egyesül a gitárok és dobok súlyos hullámaival. Néhol könnyű ez az összefonódás, de van mikor félelmetes magasságokba tör fel a hangszerek találkozása. Csodálatos amit ilyenkor hallani lehet. A harmadik dal a "Holy... Dying... Lifting..." kapta meg a lemez négy dala közül a legváratlanabb bevezetőt ami már a sludge-doom  határain belülre esik (közben, egy rádiós adás zavaros hangjai szűrődnek be morze /?/ hangok mellett). És ez a billentyűs hangszer megjelenésével egy hatalmas pusztaságot tár elénk. És itt teljesedik ki igazán az ami dal elején kezdetét vette. A hirtelennek tűnő zárószó után kezdetét veszi a lemez utolsó dala az "Awakening". Könnyű légies lépteivel. Ahol a zenekar igazán elengedte magát. Most hallani mennyire nem riadnak vissza a kísérletezéstől. Ez persze újra a funeral doom-ra oly jellemző atmoszférába hajlik át. Súlyos és lebeg ami már elér hozzánk. Végül egy igazi monstrum lesz ez a 18 perces szerzemény.
Mocskosul jó befejezést adva a lemeznek.

Hat év után végre új lemezzel jelentkezett a Dániai csapat.  Már az első dal a "Litany Of Rain" kezdő dallamai igen biztatóak. Meg kell mondjam nem  kell csalódni a folytatásban sem. Az a dallamos death/doom amihez a csapat annyira ért itt ismét kitárja hatalmas szárnyait. Szárnyait a bánatnak és a veszteségnek, ami mintha nem akarna véget érni. De a hangok mégis azt súgják, hogy  talán van remény és eljöhet még a pihenés, mely terhek nélkül vár ránk.

Egy remekmű született.

A Svédországból származó egyszemélyes női projekttel ( Dísa - Korpblod, Murmurs, Draugurinn, Niðurdrepandi ) való találkozás számomra egy igen eredeti zenei élményt nyújtott. Mielőtt beszereztem volna az eddig megjelent két CD-t már nagyjából tudtam mire is számíthatok. Persze csak úgy hittem. Mert ami a két lemezen teste öltött jóval több volt, mint amit vártam. A black metál és az ambient egy olyan atmoszférikus világa várt rám ami egyszerre jelent meditatív és aktív zenei kikapcsolódást. Nekem egy igazi meglepetés volt az amit Dísa alkotott. Csak ajánlani tudom.

Szimfónikus elemekkel tarkított black metál Norvégiából. Ami lényeges, hogy a billentyűs játék a zenét kapásból kiragadja a klasszikus black metál vonalról. A mára már feloszlott csapat zenéjét a szintén Norvég Old Man's Child környékén tudnám behatárolni. A lényeg, hogy true black metal rajongóknak nem igazán ajánlanám a banda második albumát. A többieknek viszont igen.

A zene - nos, van egy olyan érzésem, hogy maga a zenekar se tudta pontosan mit akar vagy direkt lett ilyen kaotikus mix az egész. De paranoid elméknek ajánlott ez a thrash káosz, talán ők rájönnek arra amire nekem nem sikerült.

A funeral doom Norvég névadója és alapbandája új nagylemezzel jelentkezett. A 72 perces album rengeteg szépséget tartogat. A  szimfónikus  elemekkel átitatott dalok teljességgel úgy hatnak, mintha ott lettek volna a vonós és fúvós hangszerek a stúdióban a csapattal egy hatalmas orgona mellett. Félelmetes mélységekbe és magasságokba visz el az album.

Úgy éreztem, hogy minden bánatom és fájdalmam levetve léphetnék most már síromba. Megnyugodni és elfelejteni az élet okozta sebeket.

Neokhrome - Perihelion (2012)

Kezdjük ott, hogy meg se tudok szólalni. Mert egy olyan lemezt hallottam amivel ritkán találkozom. Főleg ha Magyarországról van szó. Igen, mivel itthon a silány és szemétre való bandákat pénzelik míg azok akik tényleg tudnak a háttérbe szorulnak. De vannak akik ebben az állóvízben is olyan produktummal jelentkeznek, hogy eláll az ember szava. Ezt bizonyítja nekünk a kisebb névváltáson átesett  csapat és az albumuk a "Perihelion". Első hallásra észrevenni azt, hogy ez a  black/death metal lemez nem egy hétköznapi dallistával ellátott anyag lett. A csapat  a CD szerint most három emberből áll , akik egy olyan végtelen világot tárnak elénk egy végleges anyagba zárva, hogy sokáig a hatása alatt marad az aki meghallgatja. Színes, változatos, erőtől duzzadó kozmikus csapás. Végtelen és magával ragadó, mint a minket körülvevő univerzum. Nem kétséges, hogy az idei év egyik leghúzósabb albuma született meg, ami még nemzetközi szinten is keményen megállná a helyét.

Nem utolsó sorban meg kell említeni a CD külalakjáért felelős alkotó Hjules nevét is, aki többek közt a szintén magyar death metál csapat a Gutted legutóbbi lemezénél is dolgozott és az ő keze munkája található rajta.

To begin with, I can not even speak. Because I heard a record which is rare. Especially when it comes from Hungary. Így akik a dallamos vonalt kedvelik a durvább muzsikák között bátran tegyenek egy próbát az albummal.

Witcher - Néma Gyász EP (2012)

Nem is olyan rég jelent meg a magyar Witcher kiadványa a Néma Gyász EP. Mivel már ismertem és kedveltem a két fős zenekart így kíváncsi is voltam a végeredményre.

Az intró után két dalt hallhatunk amik viszik tovább a Witcher-re eddig jellemző vonásokat. A pozitívum már ott észlelhető, hogy a két dal rövidebb lett. Mivel 12-13 perc helyett 7-9 perc is tökéletesen vissza adta azt amit az alkotói meg akartak valósítani. A szinkron a gitár és billentyűs hangszer között tökéletes egészet alkot. A záró instrumentális tételt én egy hosszabb outro-ként fogtam fel és ez legyen az én hibám. Roland továbbra is hozza a remény nélküli világ szavait. Bár a gitár játék lehetett volna színesebb is. De hatalmas problémáim így se adódtak. Vártam némi változásra Karola billentyűs játékában, de ő továbbra is az egyszerűbb motívumokban gondolkodik. Ami néha pont úgy jó, ahogy van,. De egy kis virtuozitás feldobta volna az összképet is.

A hibái ellenére egy nagyon is kellemes dallamokban gazdag Ep született meg.

Not so long ago entered the Hungarian Witcher publication of  Néma Gyász EP. Since I already knew and liked the two-person band so I was curious about the outcome.

After the intro, you can hear two songs that are carried forward from the Witcher has distinctive characteristics. The positive point is there seen that the two songs are shorter. Since 12 to 13 minutes instead of 7-9 minutes is perfect for what it was back to the creators wanted to achieve. Synchronous of the guitar and keyboards in a perfect whole. A  2004-ben alakult finn banda már eddig is lenyűgözött az igen színes dalaival. Egy biztos a doom erősen érzékelhető, de ezután olyan szabadsággal kezelik a dolgokat amit csak kevesektől hallani. Változatos csapat voltak eddig is a death/doom- funeral doom határán. De amit a második nagylemezükön hoztak az minden várakozásomat felülmúlta.Az a szabadság amit már említettem egy olyan zseniális 4 számos albumot eredményezett, ami egyben ad súlyt a válladra és közben egy utazást ígér.

Mintha a Pink Floyd-ra oly jellemző kísérletezés és lebegés találkozott volna a doom lassú örvényeivel.

A stílus az a fajta masszív és súlyos death/doom ami igen erősen kapcsolódik  funeral doom-hoz. A végeredmény nem kétséges. A három dalos Ep erősen ajánlott.

A francia black metal csapat tavaly debütált ezzel az albummal. Meg kell hagyni egy igen változatos albumot sikerült összerakniuk. A klasszikus black metal témák mellett helyett kaptak az atmoszférikus vonal  jellegzetesnek mondható jegyei is. Ahol az akusztikus gitárnak nem kevés szerep jutott. Csak ajánlani tudom az albumot.

A Spanyol csapat egy Ep után jelentkezett az első albummal. A black/death metal kategóriába sorolni őket kapásból nem éppen célszerű. Ugyanis ez elsőre még jó lenne , de ha az ember jobban odafigyel meghallja azt amitől a "black/death" meghatározás már nem állja meg teljesen a helyét. Mivel a progresszív death metál jegyeit is észrevenni ami csak színesíti a lemezt. És ami még említést érdemel azt a tiszta ének aminek előfordulása közel sem gyengíti az összképet hanem erősíti azt.

Felesleges is lenne további stílusbeli keveredést ecsetelni a lemez 54 perce színtiszta tökéletesség. Ajánlott.
